I am thrilled to be the 4/5th Grade Gifted and Talented teacher at Orchard Park Elementary! This is my sixth year on staff at OPE, and I am hoping to have many more years of service here. I began as an Instructional Assistant in 2010. The following year, I was privileged to teach a fabulous fourth grade class. The 2012-2013 school year marked a new and exciting chapter for me as I switched to the 4/5 GT class. I am thrilled to be working with such a bright group of students. My goal as an educator is to inspire my students to reach their utmost potential.
Apart from school I enjoy many other activities. I love spending time outdoors, especially in the fall. I enjoy running, although I am certainly no marathoner. I always look forward to my weekend coffee dates with friends. Like most teachers, I often find myself lost within the pages of a great book. I also stay busy with various children's programs at my church. On my holidays, I love to travel!
I love spending time with my family. My mom, a first grade teacher, has been such an encouragement and inspiration to me. She and my dad, a Data Systems Analyst, also live in Carmel. My older brother, Ryan, and his wife, Justine, live in Texas with my PRECIOUS niece Sloan, my nephew Micah, and soon to be Baby 3 due in February. My younger brother recently graduated college with his nursing degree. You may hear the occasional story about these people, because they are all so very precious to me!
It is hard to put my life story into a few short words, so these are just a few snapshots of my life. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me.
